Does Reflexology tickle?
Some customers with very sensitive feet can find the cleansing of the feet at the start of the session ticklish. However this takes approximately 1-2 minutes and the treatment itself is gentle but firm and not ticklish at all.
Do I need to remove my clothes?
No. For Reflexology and Thai Foot Massage, you will be reclined in a comfortable chair fully clothed and covered with a blanket. Your feet will be placed on a towelled pillow where I will be able to work on them while sitting on a stool. For all other therapies, you will be seated upright.
Will it hurt?
While the stimulation of certain points may cause some discomfort, Reflexology is a gentle and non-invasive therapy which is not painful. Many clients fall asleep or become deeply relaxed during their sessions.
Thai Foot Massage has a deeper pressure, and may also cause some discomfort, but it still should not be painful. If you ever feel that the pressure is too much for you, you can always tell me and I will reduce the pressure to suit your tastes.
Indian Head Massage can cause slight discomfort on tight neck and shoulder muscles, but it is not a deep massage so overall the treatment is relaxing and releasing.
Can you diagnose/cure illnesses with Reflexology?
Reflexology is not intended to diagnose or cure. It is a complementary therapy which can benefit many ailments and symptons. However it is not a substitute for conventional medicine.
